Q-Stone

Trying to delve into the genre of Christian Blues is a daughnting affair. Mostly because Chrisatian Blues doesn't seem to exist as a genre. If you look it up on Wikipedia, they will tell you that there is no articles on Christian Blues. The closest they like is Gospel Blues and list maybe a handful of artists. Oh well.
Anyeway, I would like to start this by introducing you to a band called Q-Stone (or Q.Stone) I first heard them in 1988 with the release of  "Q-Stone" I was lucky enough to be in the Army then and happen to see them at a concert somewhere in Germany. They are a Finnish band who play Blues Rock. Most people that are familiar with them first heard of them in 1990 when they recorded a live album with Larry Norman called "Live at Flevo." Awesome record. Band consists of Mikko Kuustonen (vocals, 1987-92), Heikki Silvennoinen (guitar, vocals), Mikko Löytty (bass), Sakari Löytty (drums), Harri Taittonen (keyboards, 1988-89), Markku 'Max' Tabell (keyboards, 1990-?) See a sample of their music here:

Q.Stone Live at Tavastia 2008 - Sweet Dr... or  Q. Stone - Waiting For The Dawn

During their time they released 4 albums:

Q Stone  released in 1988
Pink on Blue released in 1990
III  released in 1992
No Substitute released in 1993
and as mentioned above: LARRY NORMAN Live At Flevo with Q-Stone from 1990.

I'd start with Q Stone and if you like them continue with the rest. This album seems to be the bluesiest. Pink on Blue moves them more into Blues Rock, than the straight Blues that Q Stone is. check out If you can  read Finnish, check out Mikko Kuustonen's Official web site or Q.Stone – Wikipedia both of which are Finnish. You can have Wikipedia translated, but it doesn't make much sense. You can also check out http://heikkisilvennoinen.com/ The translation for this page makes a little more sense in English.

Anyone with more info please contact me and I will update.

So check out Q Stone and check back here to see who else we review. Anyone you would like to suggest? Send them my way. chopperdude1@gmail.com. Thanks for reading. Bil
